The standard we build against

This site is built against WCAG 2.1 AA, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, and we measure rather than assume. On August 13, 2026 we re-tested every page of this site and fixed what we found. Text contrast was measured programmatically on all 34 pages, at both a phone width and a desktop width, comparing every piece of text against the background it is actually painted on: 3,452 measurements at desktop and 3,457 at phone width, with no result below the AA floor. We also added a "skip to main content" link and a main landmark to every page, which the site did not have before that date.

What we have not done is a full audit with real assistive technology. Automated measurement and keyboard testing catch a specific class of problem well, and they do not tell you how a page sounds to somebody using a screen reader every day. So the honest statement is this: we know of no unresolved contrast or keyboard-navigation failures as of August 13, 2026, and we do not claim the site is free of every possible barrier. If you hit one, the section below is not a formality, we will fix it.

When we change the site, this page and its date change with it, and only after re-measuring.

What you can expect

• A "skip to main content" link on every page that has a header to skip. Press Tab as soon as a page loads and it is the first thing you land on, so you can jump the header and the menu instead of tabbing through them on every page.
• Full keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator, including the mobile menu.
• Captions on video with speech: the founder video carries a captions track, one tap away on its CC control.
• Forms that announce their errors and their results, not just display them.
• Text contrast at or above the AA floor on every surface, measured, not eyeballed.
• Alt text that says what a photograph actually shows.
• Animation that respects your reduced-motion setting, in both CSS and script.

Known limits

We have not tested this site with real assistive technology. Our testing is automated contrast measurement plus manual keyboard navigation. That combination is good at finding the problems it is designed to find, and it cannot tell us how a page actually sounds to somebody navigating it with a screen reader. Until we have done that, treat the statement above as covering contrast and keyboard use, and nothing wider.

Two parts of this site are embedded from our scheduling and messaging platform: the booking calendar on the booking page, and the chat window. We have configured both as accessibly as that platform allows, and we pass issues we find to them. If either blocks you, contact us directly and a real person will book you or answer you by phone or email instead. Nothing on this site requires the embedded tools.
